Objective: To use Google Analytics to help track your website and traffic stats.

STEP 2: Create Profile

Click Add Website Profile as circled above

Simply click any of the blue hyperlinks to view stats

E-book publishing is very easy. With only a couple of hours of work involved, you can have an e-book created, published and uploaded to a high traffic e-book website. Use your e-book to build your email contact list so that you can promote your online business to those leads. Your e-book will continue to generate leads for you day after day without you having to do anything else.

Once you see how easy e-book publishing can be, you’ll want to do it again and again.

These are the steps to make this work for you.

1. Give away your e-book.

2. Make your e-book lockable.

3. Find the best places on the internet to upload your e-book to.

4. Use an auto-responder to collect the names and e-mail addresses of leads you gather from giving away your e-books.

Let’s expand on these points and fill in some details. This article will cover how you can quickly make an e-book, publish it and giving it away.

If you have already written an e-book, you might want to use that. Don’t worry if you haven’t written one or find the idea of writing an e-book too daunting. The quickest way to get an e-book published is to find some “Private Label Rights” (PLR) products that come with giveaway rights. You can find numerous products by doing an easy Google search. When you find an e-book that you want to use, make sure it comes with giveaway rights. A PLR e-book with no giveaway rights won’t do you any good at all.

When you have found a suitable product for your niche market, download it to your hard drive, unzip it and check to make sure that everything is there. A good quality PLR e-book will probably include a text version of the book as a Word document so that you can easily modify it. Before you go ahead and make any changes, you will want to read through the book carefully to make sure that it is a good quality product. Look for errors, typos and anything that doesn’t make sense. You don’t want to give away junk as this will ultimately hurt your online business.

What should you modify?

You’ll want to first change the title of the e-book. Be sure to include your most important keyword phrase. It is essential to get the title right to attract a great amount of targeted traffic, so take some time to think about the keywords you use in your title.

Next, you’ll want to add your name to the title page of the e-book. You could also add an introductory paragraph where you use your name, and also place your name and website link at the end of the book. A footer would be a good place to put this information in your e-book

Think about any other place in the e-book where you could add a link to your website, or to a specific page of your site.

Once your modifications are completed, convert the modified Word document to a PDF file with Adobe Acrobat. If you don’t have Word and Adobe you can do everything using openoffice.org.

Once you have completed these steps, you’ll have an e-book to promote your online business with. My next article will discuss how and why you should lock your e-book. Locking your e-book is an essential part of the e-book publishing technique that I will be discussing. I will then show you which e-book website to upload your e-book to for best results.

Keywords: e-book website, e-book publishing

Summary: E-book publishing is not as difficult as you may think. In this article I outline the steps you need to take and explain how to produce an e-book quickly and easily.

Business owners of all sizes make an effort to connect with other people, networks and businesses who share a common interest but who are not competitors.

They do this to share resources and cut costs. It can create an excellent partnership that serves to work to both of your advantages.

If you connect with the right people you can undertake events or advertising campaigns that you might not be able to afford individually. For example, you can share the cost of a speaker or a workshop, or piggy back advertising.

In order to have the best outcome, however, you must create a good alliance with someone who will benefit your business.

What is a good alliance?

All good alliances benefit both parties. When all is said and done, you are both better off with each other than you were without. This is essential as you are spending time, energy and funds to maintain the alliance. The payoff must be greater than the expense and that includes your time!

Consider the following when choosing an alliance:

Mutual Respect

A good alliance is like a good relationship, it is built on mutual respect and trust. This takes effort on everyone’s part to build and maintain. There must be willingness on both sides to interact and create the alliance with the understanding that it will be equally beneficial to both parties.

Relationships are all about give and take and it is the same when it comes to a good alliances. Both parties must have an equal interest in giving and receiving. If you are the one who sought out and suggested the alliance, make sure you offer your potential partner a significant and equal return share in the benefits.

Resource Contribution

In order for an alliance to be successful, each party must contribute an equal amount in resources. The resources do not have to be the same; one may contribute money while the other contributes man power. It is helpful to have someone within each business be responsible for the alliance.

Take the Time

A productive alliance will take some time to build and maintain. It is helpful to start with a small project as you get to know one another’s needs and expectations. When you are more comfortable with one another you can work toward larger projects.

Be a Good Listener

Communication is at the core of every good relationship and this is no different when it comes to alliances. The most important thing you can do is be a good listener. Listen for clues to what your potential alliance’s needs and wants are. This will help you find a way to make it work for them.

Planning

One of the biggest pitfalls of alliances is a lack of strategic planning. If time is not taken to sit down together and work out the details of the arrangement and of any joint activities, they are bound to fail. When you initiate an alliance be careful not to fall into the following traps:

A. Don’t think too small – Make sure you offer your potential partner something of equal or greater value than what you will be receiving from them.

B. Don’t think only about yourself – Strategic alliances are all about creating a situation that benefits both parties equally. Make sure you think very carefully about what you have of value to offer them.

Align Expectations

Even when terms are agreed upon on paper, there are often times when each party’s expectations as to how it all plays out are very different. You can bargain and negotiate and think you have come to terms when in fact you have left details unexposed or open to different interpretations. Be very careful to come to a true meeting of the minds to avoid a failure of the alliance in the future.

Clearly defined expectations are one of the most important aspects of forming an alliance. This may require ongoing negotiations as needs and expectations shift during the course of your alliance. Changing circumstances often impact expectations and what initially was agreeable to both parties suddenly causes a rift.

Always Ask Yourself These Questions
•Is the alliance fair and equal?
•Are you expecting a long or short relationship?
•Are you sharing a specific venture or will the relationship be ongoing?
•Are you equals in the relationship?
•How often to you plan to consult with your partner?
•How will the decisions be made and by whom?
•Is the first project a door to bigger projects down the road?
•How will you share any common property, intellectual or otherwise?
•How will you handle any disagreements that develop?

I want to share something quite valuable with you today – my own personal formula for generating traffic to this very website.

In case you haven’t already realized all success online starts with creating a flow of traffic to your website. Without a continual stream of new visitors you have no chance of starting any kind of relationship with your prospective clients. Traffic generation is essential.

Now I can only give you a broad overview of my strategy here, but the following information will give you a really good start to creating your own Traffic Strategy.

The first thing you need to be clear on is that Google and other search engines exist to deliver information to people who are searching for answers, so the key to generating traffic is to provide content that meets this need.

The key strategy that I recommend can be summed up in two words ‘Article Marketing’. Before I give my plan let me clarify a couple of things here:

Firstly when I talk about articles I’m talking about text-based, self-contained topic-specific content. It could be an article on your website or it could be a blog post.

Secondly, I’m not just talking about creating articles but also distributing, repurposing and promoting your articles. This is where the real power lies. A lot of people create content but few are taking the added steps of distributing it correctly and changing it into different formats.

Your main aim with article marketing is to get your content in front of as many readers as possible – that can’t be achieved by simply posting the content on your own site and stopping there.

So here’s the formula:

1) Write an article that my customers love. Content that addresses a need and solves a problem that your market faces.

2) Submit your articles to the article directories.

3) Convert the articles to press releases by making them read in the
third person.

4) Submit them to press release directories.

5) Convert the articles to podcasts by recording the words and
turning them into teleseminars.

6) Submit them to podcast directories.

7) Convert the marketing article to video by speaking over PowerPoint
or Camtasia and submitting them to video sites like Youtube.

Use social bookmarking services to promote your articles (in every format) in the directories

Now let me tell you that right there is a very powerful strategy for generating traffic and very rapidly building your online reputation. It’s not the complete story because I like to also use social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook. But if you did nothing other than the above you’ll put yourself way in front of the pack.

That said, you may have noticed that there is (a big) catch to the strategy I’ve just described:

It takes TIME – from the creation of the content, to the conversion to other formats, to the distribution, to the promotion. Lots of time if you do all of this yourself and do it manually.

The good news though, is that you don’t have to do it all manually. There are two very important aspects to this strategy that I haven’t described yet. hat are they?

Outsourcing and Automation

And there-in lies the biggest success tip of all. You simply can’t do it all yourself in any reasonable space of time. Trust me on this!

***Without a doubt, you MUST use technology to leverage your efforts***

This is my area of expertise. Join my Massive Success Formula Group at http://masufo.com and I’ll show you exactly what I outsource and how I do it. I’ll show you what you can automate and how to do it.

This is good stuff! I love the power of online marketing and I’d love to be able to share some more tips with you to help you take your own marketing to the next level. Hope you’ll join me…

Getting caught in the operational aspects of their business is a trap that many business owners fall into. It begins to occupy so much of their time that they have time little left for activities that actually generate income.

It is therefore essential for coaches to create systems to handle the administrative tasks for them so that they can spend their time building the business. If you do not, you will spend half of your time handling the mind-numbing tasks rather than generating real income. You can easily triple your business in half the time by automating the small day to day tasks.

Streamline all of the administrative tasks to be as efficient and self-sufficient as possible. By putting the details on autopilot, you are then free to do the things that are most important to you and your coaching business.

Here are a few suggestions to help you accomplish this:

Have a phone script handy to minimize your time on the phone

Automate follow-up and contact

Use a database to manage your clients and prospective clients

Create a template for all of your correspondence and office documents. For example: Invitations for all the different programs you offer, follow-up letters, enquiry letters, thank you notes, promotional letters, request for testimonials, affiliate proposals, financial details, etc.

Create a systems to put the following on autopilot: your referral process, your educational marketing material, managing operational

Key Performance Indicators

The following resources are available to help you put your coaching business on autopilot:

For E-Commerce try:

FatFreeCart – a tool to create a shopping cart on your site

PayPal – automates payment for your online sales

ClickBank – also automates payment

Verisign – important for online payment security

For Business Finance and Accounting use:

Quickbooks, Quicken, MYOB – accounting software

Easeaccounting – online accounting

Office.com – productivity tools

Logiforms.com – tools to manage data

Streamline Communications with:

MSN Messenger and or Skype – instant messaging and internet phone

QNext – file sharing and broadcasting

Logiforms.com – tools for data management

To manage your customers use:

Client Compass – client management for coaches

ACT!, Maximizer Enterprise 9 – relationship management

Manage your database with:

FileMaker Pro

Microsoft Access

Affiliate Programs:

Affiliate Showcase

Associate Programs

Find a Coach

Market Research tools:

Create Surveys

Survey console

Web Stats

The goal is to automate and systematize as much of your business as possible. Search for software and programs that can help you accomplish this. Begin by making a list of functions you do on a regular basis and then see if there is a system or program that will do it for you. Start with the task that is more important or takes the most time and imagine what you might do with it if you were to go on vacation for week. Could someone do it for you without any help? Then move on to the next most important task and create a system for it. Before you know it the mundane aspects of your coaching business will be on autopilot and you will have time on your hands to do the things you enjoy doing the most.

Technology is the most powerful tool you can use to build your coaching business. Your website is the most important place to start to build your brand. It is what you will use as a springboard to all of your other communication efforts.

Your website should not sit idle hoping that someone will bump into it. There are millions of coaching websites on the internet. Yours must stand out and be used to draw people to it and take visitors and convert them to sales. If this is not happening, your website is not effective.

A website that works, will be working for you even as you sleep and it will grow your coaching business significantly. Coaches who are successful believe their websites are their most valuable marketing and communication vehicle.

Turning your website into a highly functioning tool should be on the top of your list of priorities as a new coach. If you already have a coaching practice and don’t have a website, you should drop everything to put one in place.

Don’t let the cost be an obstacle. If you cannot afford a website, start with a blog. You can create a blog at little or no cost and very little tech knowledge is needed. A free blog will get you started until you can afford a website.

Begin to establish your presence on the web as a coach. It is very important in establishing credibility, exposure and brand. It also gives you the best place to promote and distribute your products and communicate with your clients or potential clients.

There are several things you need to make your website or blog effective.

The copy on your site should not focus on you. It should focus rather on copy that sells. Remember you are using the site as a marketing tool.

The site should have sufficient avenues that encourage the people to return to on a regular basis and when they are there, they should want to stay a while.

A compelling sales venue should be established for your core products. The website should have persuasive sales techniques that funnel visitors through a thought-out process that ends in a call to action.

Every visitor is a potential customer and it is vitally important that your website gather as much information about the visitor as possible in an automated fashion.

Once you have this information on your prospects you then should begin communicating with them on a regular basis via the site. A properly designed website will do this automatically as well.

Once you have this fabulous website, people should be able to find it! Therefore it is essential that it have the correct metatag, SEO content, scripting, links, PPC marketing, etc. to elevate it in search engines.

Your website should be self-sufficient and automated so that it does the work for you.

To enhance your opportunity of being found by potential clients, your website should be linked to as many sites as possible.

It is essential that your site generate passive revenue as well. This is where you can sell the products you have worked so hard to develop as an additional source of income.

In order to be a successful coach it is extremely import to use your knowledge to your advantage. This does not mean taking your knowledge and applying it in a broad, sweeping fashion to as big a market as possible. What it means is using your expertise and knowledge to focus on an education-based marketing plan that implements many streams of income and delivers it directly to your niche market.

Use your knowledge to bring people into your sphere of influence. Invite them to your services through the use of newsletters, niche content, assessments, questionnaires, articles and the like. Tailor these products specifically for your niche audience.

Leverage your knowledge by turning your knowledge into promotional talks, seminars, workshops, a video or audio series based on the needs of your niche market. Once you’ve developed these products, you can fine tune and alter them and alter them for other different audience without having to start from scratch. For example, if you have a program that works well for your, license it and offer it to other coaches to use with their coaching practice.

Try some of these ideas to leverage your knowledge:

USE AN EXPERT: If you know of a well known expert in your niche, ask for an endorsement from them. This is a very effective means of adding value to your product. It elevates you to a level of authority and gives you credibility. The experts won’t mind endorsing you because it gives them credibility as well. The more people that like and value their expertise the better and it is just another way for them to get their message and name into another market.

FIND AFFILIATES: An affiliate is someone who has a common, but different, interest in the same people you wish to attract. You are not competitors but you both can both use your educational products and work together to convert prospects into paying clients.

TEAM UP: As you gain endorsements from experts and line up affiliates you gain access to their audience as well. Share your channels of distribution and double or triple your reach.

BOOTSTRAP: Use a product that you have developed to create a second product or service at a lower cost. Find multiple returns on a single product by tweaking it for another purpose.

Leveraging your knowledge and turning a single effort into multiple payoffs will save you time and money and increase your avenues of revenue. Every time you create a product, think about how you can use it again in a different way. For example, if you are holding a seminar, consider recording it and offering as a podcast on your website. Each time you do this, you are taking one effort and using it for multiple purposes, reaching a wider audience than the original.

Most coaches who are having difficulty developing their coaching business have a backwards approach to creating revenue. They attempt to sell their most expensive product first by trying to convince a potential client of the value of one-on-one coaching.

Coaching is a relatively new type of business and has a high barrier to entry. This means that persuading someone who has never heard of hiring a coach or is unfamiliar with its benefits will be very difficult to sell. Coaching comes with a high price and offers an intangible product. Asking someone to lay out a large sum of money for something they cannot yet see the benefit of just won’t happen.

But people with a problem that is serious enough for them to be determined to fix it, value information that will help them address relevant issues. As an expert in your field, or niche, you should have all of the products and services they need to solve their problems. In order to create these products, you need to know and understand what challenges and issues they are facing. Then you can offer them products to address these challenges.

Education products and services are well accepted and do not attract the resistance of one-on-one coaching. Excellent offerings should include newsletters, ezines, workshops, seminars, teleclasses, CDs, eCourses, clubs, reports, tools, assessments and mini-courses.

These products will help your potential clients begin to solve their problems and begin to overcome their resistance to your higher end products. In doing so, you will gain their respect and trust as an expert in your particular niche. As you continue your relationship you can begin to offer them higher levels of products.

The items listed above can be broken into groups of products at different pricing levels.

Group 1 Products ($0 to $30)

Newsletters

Assessments

Tools

Autoresponders

Surveys

Seminars

Workshops

Group 2 Products ($50 to $200)

Teleclasses

CD Products

E Mini Courses

Group 3 Products ($200 and up)

One-to-one coaching sessions

Boot Camps

Passive income is also an excellent source of additional revenue for a coaching business. This includes affiliate products, repetitive services and one-to-many services.
